Multi Client Projects This feature allows you to manage a project for multiple clients, each of which can be quoted individually. This is ideal for publishing businesses where the project is a publication and the advertisers are all individual Clients. This feature is also ideal for multi-faceted projects where different parts of the project are quoted separately; for example, a house builder quoting for a basic house design but with different kitchen and bathroom options Project analysis by user defined stages All projects can be divided into user-defined stages, expenditure and hours logged can be analysed at each individual stage. This feature is ideal for architects that adhere to a standard set of stages or for any business where Projects can be broken down into Stages; for example “pre-contract tendering” could be a standard Project Stage, so you can analyse resources expended on Projects that ultimately do not proceed to execution. Activity based management All Slate quotations for labour are based on Activities, rather than just predicted hours. When staff do their Timesheets the same set of Activities is available for use. Therefore when Budget – v – Actuals comparisons are carried out it gives a far deeper understanding of where time has been lost or gained on a Project. Flexible and powerful quotation letters Slate has the functionality to allow you to create quotation letters based on standard templates (i.e. standard opening and closing paragraphs) into which you can insert “Project-specific paragraphs” that personalise the quotation to the particular Client or Project. You can include pre-defined “product-paragraphs” that provide details on the particular product or service being offered. This creates a very powerful sales message, with minimal effort and with maximum accuracy and consistency. Summary information panels Summary Panels on each main screen give an “at a glance overview” of key information; for example, on the Stock screen the summary panel displays the cost price and potential value of the current stock holding.
